is this a nursing strike?

10 week old dd has been extra irritable the last couple of days, but when I try to feed her she gets angry and pushes the breast away/arches her back. I end up having to wait until she's asleep or almost asleep before she will feed. And until then she just cries and cries. Up until now she's been such a calm, content baby. It's worst at this time of day.

We both have a cold at the moment, could that be causing the issues? Is there anything I could do to help her feed?,

Yea sounds like a nursing strike to me! My DD has done them when she's been hit with a cold, though there can be other reasons. Is suggest getting some snuffle baby, saline drops for her nose, sitting her in a steamy room whilst you shower, and good walks in the fresh air to try and clear her nose a bit.

Meanwhile feed her whilst she's sleepy (dreamfeed if you need to), keep offering casually but don't force her! And if all else fails express when she should feed, and maybe try feeding her by bottle, cup, or syringe. Had to syringe feed my girl! Also worth trying different positions to see if that helps her :)
