Nursing strike, day 12 please help!

Hello. My 14 month old is on day 12 of a nursing strike. He has gone from bfing between 6-10 times every 24 hrs to refusing to latch on.

This was prompted, I think, by me shouting at him and flinging him off me 13 days ago when he bit me extremely hard.

I have had baths with him every single day since this, have him and myself naked in bed with him cuddled up to me, carried him in a sling, tried spinning in an office chair, tried rocking, had someone swing him up towards my breast!

Nothing is working.

He either nips me or holds my nipple by his mouth or turns away.

He has had a virus that has really wiped him out but is I think slightly better today. But still not interested in latching on.

He wants my milk. Watches me express it and then wants to drink it. He won't drink cows milk and cries until I've expressed more for him.

He's eaten very little (no change there) & drank very little and has been mildly dehydrated. He drank a bit more last night.

Have only fed him from a cup, bar one bottle in this time.

I don't know what else to do.

Is it now hopeless?

He is developmentally delayed and is more like a 7-8 month developmentally than a 14 monther.

Thank you.
