Whatever your views on breastfeeding may be, I think his article is great. There are so many negative stereotypes surrounding young, working-class women and so I love the photograph of the mother with the curlers and

Well I loved it. It reminds me of the cuddly baby stage we all enjoy, however we may choose to feed our babies.

Horrible comments, though, underneath - get out the bingo cards, 'cos we've got the lot there:

'attention-seeking', 'bf is natural so is masturbating', 'what a lot of fuss over nothing', 'get a life'....and so on. So much hate :(

Good to see some people arguing with the negative comments though. There will always be ignorant little twats out there, but hopefully more positive exposure for breastfeeding mums will help 'normalise' the practice in the minds of the majority.

Good to see a range of women being seen to bf. Sometimes the media stereotypes it as something only well to do mums or slightly hippy mums do.
The reality is loads of us do it! Of all lifestyles and incomes.
But I found the stereotype quite daunting when I was pregnant. I'm a band t shirt, bottle red hair and too much make up mum and it's only through experience I've learned many women ebf or mixed feed but you don't see it in the media.
