Dd3 5.5 months is ebf and never until a few weeks ago had any 'white' on her tongue.
Christmas eve I noticed a layer of white stuff had developed, only quite a thin one but it looked to me like thrush (my niece of similar age had just had it but hers looked a lot thicker than dd's). I had a telephone consultation with the GP who prescribed some drops without seeing her. I asked if I needed anything for me to use, he said no.
Fast forward 3 days later. Emergency appointment with another doctor as dd had an ear infection. I asked him to look at dd's tongue, he said it looked normal and just milk residue (even though I explained to him that she never usually has any milk residue there) so I stopped the drops on his advice.
Now this layer of white stuff still hasn't gone and my left nipple is really pink but the skin looks slightly white on the very end. It's also a bit sore for a second when dd latches. Does this sound like we both have thrush to those of you who have had it? I don't want to go along to the GP again when I have already discussed it with them twice now.
Thanks
