breastfeeding and pregant

I still breastfeed my one-year-old morning and evening, he has one bottle of cow's milk in the day. I want to start trying for no.2 soon. I am ready to stop breastfeeding, but he still loves it! Should I try to wean him off before a new pregnancy, or do you think this isn't a factor? Thanks

You can wean but dot have to, I have read that feeding can be more painful through pregnancy and that milk can drop. some children continue feeding through a pregnancy and some will wean themselves, some are encouraged to wean during pregnancy too.

I would take it one day at a time and see how you feel if unsure

Seconding everything bf1000 said (matches both what I have read and personal anecdotes).

For me another issue is that when I was pg first time I was shattered all the time and needing to bf is a commitment I wouldn't have wanted.

You can just go with it, although ttc can take a little longer. I found a moment came when I was about 5 months pg that I just couldn't bear it any longer, and weaned dc1. Which was fine.
