Reddish boobs but no infection??

Hi ladies,

I'm new here and just wondering if anyone has had a similar experience. I've been ebf for about 5 weeks and my boobs have this reddish/purplish color, especially underneath. I've heard that redness can be a sign of mastitis, and my midwife seemed a bit concerned when she was last here before the holidays, but I don't have any pain (aside from tenderness when they're really full), no fever or hardness or anything like that. I wonder if maybe it's stretch marks? Anyway like I said, just wondering if anyone has experienced the same thing! Thanks!

I had that but it was mastitis. I think it's a good idea to ask a medic about any changes to your body, really. I bet you'll find it's due to breastfeeding as your baby is so new.
