So DS slurping his way through a stage 1 Ella's pouch (no meat) ....

And to my horror I notice green mould all round the bottom ShockShockShock

He had about 3/4 of it ... What would you honestly do??

Round the bottom where?

GotToBeInItToWinIt · 30/12/2014 13:11

Sorry it's not clear, is the mould on the inside or outside?

TheLondoner22 · 30/12/2014 13:28

On the outside of the packaging, my thoughts are the packaging has split, it was in the cupboard with all the others Hmm the contents has leaked out the bottom and the mould has come from that .....

Does that make sense??? Confused

Can you check if you can find a split in the packaging?

LuckyLopez · 30/12/2014 13:53

What would you honestly do??

Chuck it in the bin and find him something else. I don't really know what you're expecting anyone else to say.

TheLondoner22 · 30/12/2014 14:12

Lucky he'd already eaten it!!!!!!!

I would Google the kind of mould that grows on wherever it is he was eating to see if it's dangerous. If it is, a trip to docs asap. If it isn't, just keep an eye. Also pouches are known to have this risk, I've heard of it so many times. Check each pouch carefully before you use it for holes or damage.

LuckyLopez · 30/12/2014 14:32

I understand that but you can't make him throw it up. Just keep an eye on him surely? PFB by any chance? Grin

Fill the pouch with water and see if any leaks out - then you'll know if the pack was damaged.

You can't really do anything about it now though - keep an eye on him.

Gosh Lucky there's really no need to be so harsh.

Agree with PP - check with HV and keep a close eye. He will probably be absolutely fine and don't bea yourself up about it, these things happen

Thank you all :)) helpful as always.

Lucky, thanks so much for you "Christmas Cheer"! - Was just wanting advice didn't need harsh comments Wink
