I am breast feeding DD, currently having three milk feeds a day but think she will drop down to two soon. Is this usual?

ds 7 m/o has been on gradullay increasing ammounts of solid food over the last month. hes now on
Breast feed at breakfast , midmorning , after lunch at 12ish , mid afternoon and bedtime.
solids at breakfast pt2 (this is new this week), lunch one course and teatime 2 courses. hes offered water in a cup wat each solid feed, but doesn't drink much from a cup yet.
Even with that I'm concerned hes not getting quite enough fluids as hes not giving me so many wet nappies as before.
So to me, 3 milk feeds seems very little and 2 not enough. milk is still a really important part of their diet at 7 months it should remain a major part till at least a yer.

BFing DS, 6 1/2 months....1 - 3 hours... and the 3 hour gaps are rare! Im shattered!

This is interesting... she has big feeds and the health visitor says this number of feeds is normal at this stage. Tried to stick with four but she was not intested. DD has been putting on weight well so no probs there but I did wonder what others thought!
QueenQuootie - I salute you, how do you cope???

I dont know! Ive just fed 5 times in last hour and half - fair enough only 5 mins, but hes being a bugger tonight! Last night he went 2 and a half hours! I thought something had happened to him! DH now takes him in the mornings for an hour or so, so I can sleep as mornings is usually his longest gaps.
