Why only engorged on one side?

I had a night off from feeding 8 mo DS last night, as discussed on writer's thread. I normally feed 8-10 times overnight (though these are rarely proper feeds), but last night went from 7 pm - 8 am without feeding.

Was predictably engorged by morning, but only on the right side! Why does this happen - perhaps tiktok or another wise MNer can answer. I've suspected for a long time that DS finds this the easier side to feed off - has to work less hard for milk. (though oddly enough, in the first few days it was the other way round!)
