Help - 12 week old refusing bottle

My 12 week old dd has been predominantly breast-fed but from 2 weeks old was given a bottle of EBM which then moved onto formula. We have had no problems with her taking this until the last couple of weeks when she has started to reject the bottle. It started with her taking less and less per bottle feed and now she is basically screaming when we try to give her a bottle and will only settle with a breastfeed. Can anyone give me advice with this - I was starting to wean her onto formula to get her ready for when I return to work and am now worried she will not take the bottle at all. Do you think it is because as she is getting older she is recognising the difference?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Its a bit early, but maybe if you give her a tiny tiny tiny amount of baby rice mixed with her milk, that might help?
My DS2 suddenly did this a couple of weeks ago - hes 5 months - but settled when we started giving him his bottle in his bouncy chair, rather than holding him, don't know if its any use, but might be worth a try

Both mine did this - happy with the occasional bottle early on, then refusal and screaming after 10 weeks.
With ds I sat there with a bottle for 45mins of screaming until he finally gave in..then I refused to breastfeed him during the day..it took a few days but he eventually got used to it.
With dd, she screamed for longer, so I have tried lots of bottle/teat combinations and finally found that the playtex system (weird but scarily realistic teat that moves in and out when sucked) was acceptable, she also likes her formula a bit warmer than it should be, and the teat has to be pre-warmed.....it took a while to work that out but she doesn't scream now...does try to pull my top up (she's 5 months) and still only takes 4 oz at a time from a bottle but as I'm going back to work in a few weeks I'm grateful for that!
Hope some of this is helpful!
