Hives when breastfeeding-anyone else?

My Dd is 8 weeks - I've broken out in hives. They flare up in the evening when she clusters/feeds more.
My DH and I cleaned the house like mad thinking insects had gotten in! Then someone mentioned post partum/breaSt feeding hives. Never realised they were a thing but LOL forum mentions it and lots of people say they had it!

I understand anti histamine can reduce supply - any suggestions for redicing the itch it hurts like anything! And just when I want to grab some sleep and wine of an evening! Smile

I came out in hives a few weeks ago too! Dd is 5 months so after a bit of internet research, I decided it wasn't related to bf but something environmental - some kind of autumnal allergen. I went to see a GP armed with the breastfeeding network drugs guide to antihistamines and got prescribed fexoflenadine. I have been taking one a day for the last 14 days and the hives have died down. I haven't noticed any effect on fb or baby.
