If 3 week old DD wants to go 6 hours at night, can I let her?

She has started to cluster feed in the evening then sleep 9-3, and feed every 2 hours after that/during the day. So still 10 feeds in 24 hours. Can I let her do this, or should I set my alarm and wake her? I tried for 2 nights but she refused to feed and just went back to sleep...

Yes. She's fine. She's letting you know when she needs fed.

Congratulations

I was always told 6 hours was fine at that age. Dd and ds2 did this and went on to be good sleepers. It sounds like she feeds plenty the rest of the time and if there are no other concerns 6 hours seems fine.

is she putting on weight? Has she regained and exceeded her birth weight?

She is following the 50th centile line and gaining weight well so far. Thanks for the replies!
