Did MN help you with bf?

I am bf 18 months old dd and have been posting on mn since shortly after she was born. If it weren't for mn, and the advice i got on this board I would have bf past 11 months. Mn helped me overcome a stubborn bf strike when dd was roughly 11 months and also helped me trouble shoot a bout of Mastitis when I reduced feeds. Although I have access to bf advice from local Nct etc. I felt posting here was invaluable for me.

Did you get any useful advice re bf from fellow mnetters? How did it help you?

Me too - may not continue but the advice and support on here is golden. Because of an historic post on this board, I called the national breastfeeding helpline when I was on my knees this week and spoke to an amazing volunteer who both reassured and inspired me. I think I'd have been on the path to PND without it...
Thanks all

Ten years ago Tiktok and others held my hand through my baby losing 20% of her body weight, tongue tie, dodgy latch, green poo and slow weight gain. She went on to have my milk for 13 months, and her younger brother for 28 months.

It really, really helped knowing that there were lots of other people out there waving pom-poms for us.

It was how I came to Mumsnet. Smile
