hi olivo

had the same very thread a few week ago, its cashew butter or none at all Im afraid ! , shame I miss peanut butter too. Dd1 wants it in her pack lunch today , ooohh the smelllll.

Ive replaced it so far with anchovy pate ! I just like a savoury taste in the morning on toast.

Oh, can I just hijack this thread and ask if we can eat almonds???

QuootieSpookypie · 03/10/2006 11:38

no nuts

archiesmummy · 03/10/2006 11:48

Ok, no probs, thanx QuootieSpookypie,
I'm finding it difficult to find muesli without nuts TBH, the only one I've found is M&S and it gets a bit boring eating the same thing day after day...
Ideas???

kellymom suggest avoiding peanuts while breastfeeding, but no mention is made of other nuts. i've never heard that other nuts are bad either - do you have a source for that, quootie?

olivo · 03/10/2006 15:36

thanks everyone! no peanut butter sarnies for a while then !

melsy - i wont be following your lead with the anchovy paste! yuk!!

Actually almonds aren't technically nuts they are a member of the peach family. And peanuts are actually legumes. My Dad is allergic to nuts they are the only ones he can eat.

Also you should know you DD shouldn't have peanut butter until 3. My DS is desperate to try it, it is one of DD favorites. But not 3 yet. When dd was little the advice was 2, but it has changed in the interim.
