Need some help as to whether or not to wean my 4 month old onto solids

Need some help. I want to find a website that goes into far more detail as to why I shouldn't wean my ds. Not just the standard "Waiting until six months to introduce solid foods into your baby's diet will help minimise the risk of him developing adverse reactions to foods and allergies." There are allergies in my family and there are stomach issues in my husbands but I want to have far more information before I ignore the millions of mothering cells in my body that are currently screaming "he's ready for food and he's hungry". Obviously I would be careful - I know all about careful foods etc etc DS is my 3rd child not my first and I'm relaxed enough to go on gut instinct and gut instinct is screaming "feed him!". So if anyone has a site I could read about this in much greater detail enabling to reach a conclusion for my son I'd be extremely grateful.

Thanks
