Frozen breastmilk

When DD was born I had to express to establish supply as she was in NICU, some of this has been frozen since as I had oversupply. Sorting through today to get some defrosted for DH to give later. Earlier milk is a different colour as it was the initial milk. Is this ok to give now? It's within the 6 months date for frozen milk. It's more orange than my milk is now, more like colostrum colour.

It's fine AFAIK. It's just that the composition of your milk changes a bit over time. But in an 'isn't bm clever' way, not in a way that the first stuff would hurt an older baby. If it did, you couldn't tandem feed!

I just wondered if it wouldn't have the right composition for her now. Glad we can still use it!
