Preparing Nutramigen

We've been put on Nutramigen for my DS's CMPA. Before he was on SMA, I followed WHO guidelines on preparing with water above 70oC and flash cooling to refrigerate for up to 24 hours.

Can I still do this with Nutramigen? I have no idea if I should be doing it differently because it's a different formula. I prepare it to the letter on the box, but I can't find much about preparing I'm advance. I really ought to get a thermos flask to keep boiling water in when I need it..... its the taking formula out and about that I struggle with. Plus my DS is not capable of waiting patiently for the 30 mins it takes to make a feed!

I made Nutramigen up in exactly the same way I made up any other formula, so that should be fine. Be prepared it has a seriously strange smell!

The taste...... I tried it and it was foul! But he doesn't bat an eyelid and drinks it however it comes!

Hah! DD loved it! I made the mistake of trying some food I'd made up with it once we were weaning and will never forget the taste!! Not sure what problems you had to cause you to go on it, but thought I'd let you know DD is almost two and happily guzzles dairy now (though not soya with the Dietician says is unusual, that still cripples her :S) So it is possible for babies to grow out of the initial intolerances.
