Constantly feeding and she's bottle fed?!

My 8 week old DD is on formula milk, but I am constantly feeding her. She wants milk every half an hour/hour but will only drink one or two oz every time. Her maximum is three.

I've considered changing her milk and I've tried faster flowing teats to see if she just got bored of sucking but she'll still only take 2oz on average each time. Changing her milk seems pointless because it's not the milk that's the problem I don't think, it's her!

I'm fed up of being able to get nothing done because she's constantly whining for more milk because she won't take a full feed.

Has anyone got any ideas how I can get her to take more milk at a feed?!

maybe she likes to suck - have you tried a dummy? How does she sleep? You could be confusing a tired cry for a hunger cry

Little and often is how babies are designed to feed - big feeds less often might be more convenient for parents but it doesn't often work out that way.

That's babies, I'm afraid. BF or FF, they feed when they want and take what they want. You will probably find that she finds more of a routine after the four-month growth spurt.

She still has a tiny tummy, small feeds are normal. When they're that young, it's best to lower your standards where housework etc is concerned! She'll gradually start taking more milk at each feed. My DD was formula fed from 6 months but didn't start going more than 2 hours between feeds until about 9 months.
