Sudden pain breastfeeding

DS is now 7 months and I'm one of those lucky ones that has never had any pain really with feeding him... until today!

Over the last few days his upper centrals have come through and I'm getting severe pain just on the right side. The pain is through the whole feed and it's still sore afterwards. I can't see any obvious damage to the nipple but the pain is quite unbearable!

When I feed him on the left side I get no pain at all

Has anybody experienced this, will it be the teeth grazing or could it be something else? Any advice?

I'm experiencing similar with my 11mo (was both sides, now just L).

I'm wondering if it might be bruised - that is, that he's clamped down just too many times and there's some internal damage.

Last night when it was cold and they went pointy it was agony brushing against my pyjamas, but otherwise it only really hurts during a feed.

I've experienced pain when my ds is actively teething (drooling a lot etc) and then it goes away after a few days. I think he's just a bit more chewy because they hurt.

Ok think I'll just grit my teeth and carry on then and hopefully it will pass. Maybe try a different position too.
