Ouch Nipples!!

My DD is only one week old and feeding is going really well. However in the first couple of days, my naivety meant that she was using me as a dummy much of the time and my latch wasn't great. Consequently I have VERY sore nipples!

Now when I feed her, her latch is better, but it's still hurting me. Am using Lanolin to help. Does this improve by itself or get worse? I love feeding her but am in agony a lot of the time.

Yes!! Sounds like me last week/10 days ago. Much better now, once latch that suits you and baby is established.
Found lolling around with my boobs out helped (rub a drop of milk on them after a feed) plus lanolin plus hot showers.
Hope it passes as it did for me. Watch out for night feeds - they can't see and you can't see so it can be ouchy!
