biting!

My DS (9 mo) has just started biting me during breastfeeds. Thankfully no teeth yet! He is biting everything though, so I suspect his teeth are bothering him.

I think the biting usually happens when he's finished with that breast, or when he's bored/had enough of feeding. I've never really been able to tell when my bobs are empty though, so I'm guessing a bit.

I don't feel ready to stop breastfeeding yet. (We are not planning to have more children so this is likely to be my last time.) But my Nipples are getting sore!

Any suggestions for how I can persuade him to stop biting?

Thanks for your help.

Hi,

Not going to be much help tbh, but my daughter was exactly the same. I got some advice, eg take off when slowing down and getting bored. I can't remember all of the advice. But it did get better so keep going. I used to tell my daughter she was naughty straight away and she couldn't do that again, which I really think she understood
