How to heal nipples!!

Second time around and engorgment and edema mean my DS could latch on properly and I now am resorting to nipple shields until I can bear the unbelievable pain! Luckily the engorgment has passed and she's draining me really well. The only problem now is mending the raw bleeding holes left behind.

Any tips? I'm putting my milk on them and using lansinoh. Anything else I can do?

Whoops! She's a DD, not a DS!

Jelonet dressings i think.

Multi Mam compresses (store in fridge).

Lansinoh hydrogel pads (store in fridge).

Silverette nipple cups.

Breast shells to avoid chafing from clothes.

I found bamboo reusable breast pads worked wonders, when I was able to bear anything touching my nipples! bamboo is (supposedly) naturally antibacterial. I found disposable ones really sweaty and smelly, even when changed with every feed. I use Little lamb ones and would recommend them. And lashings of lansinoh Smile
