How often to sterilise pump parts?

Should I sterilise pump parts after every use? I use the Medela Swing.

No. Pop everything into a clean plastic food bag (freezer bag) and store in the fridge. Clean and sterilise once every 24 hours. Replace the bag every 24 hours.

MW told me that washing in hot soapy water was fine as breast milk is a living organism.

I use stargirl's daily sterilising and fridge technique for the parts of my medela swing.

I only sterilise now and again but wash at the beginning or end of each day with hot soapy water
