10 month old fluid intake

Wonder if anyone can advise? DS has between 3&5 bf a day now - mostly 3 or 4 - one first thing, one before afternoon nap, one at bedtime and then sometimes one in the night. He has 3 meals plus small snacks - we are blw so his intake varies. He's not great at drinking from a sippy cup but getting better and I try and offer water after each meal and at least once in between. My concern is that his nappies are quite dry during the day. We use cloth and today I changed him after his nap at 10 then went to change him before his nap at 1 and it was pretty much bone dry. Is this ok? He has v wet nappy first thing and usually around 4pm. I asked HV at his check the other day but she told me to cut to 2 feeds a day and that he'd get all his other fluids from solids and a few sips of water - this sounded wrong to me - plus I'm fine with the number of bf we have! Am I worruing unnecessarily? He seems fine.

No reason to cut feeds to 2, how odd.

My 7 month old seems to have similar to you - 3ish breastfeeds, 2 bottle-feeds and sips of water with meals and his nappies are always soaking.

Maybe drop the snacks and offer breastfeeds or cups of milk instead?

She was proper old school - apparently he'll sleep better as he'd eat more :/ think I'll try offering more in the day when we're home and offer more regular water too. Thanks
