Acne after weaning?

Hi, I weaned my DS about 7 months ago having breast fed for about 16 months. Periods returned 4 weeks later and since then I have been plagued with skin trouble and Acne. And it seems to be getting worse!

Is this just hormonal related and will it settle down ? I haven't had to deal with Acne in about 20 years so getting quite depressed at the thoughts of going through teenager acne phase AGAIN.

Any experiences or advise?

Thanks !!

Haven't wean DD onto solids but have weaned onto bottle. Have now got nonestop sort of periods (enough to be annoying!) the greasiest hair in th euniverse and acne (which had cleared up during pregnancy). Am 25 but have always had some spots but this is pretty bad. Is all a bit of a shock after glowing skin and none greasy hair in pregnancy. Have taken to wearing hair off my face to stop each making the other worse but apart from that can't offer any advice apart from crack out the clerasil! (personally have never stopped using it since i was 14!) Also panoxyaquagel is availalbe over the counter at pharmacys and works a treat though smells like dead cabages and can bleach your sheets! Oh the joys. Some people swear by tea tree but it's just not hard core enough for my face

Thanks Alibobble. Good to know I am not alone. Must say my skin and hair had never looked better then while preg and bfeeding. Wish I could get that result without having to go through it all again though (ha ha!).

I have started tying my hair back too funnily enough... and will check out the acne stuff. Thanks for the recommendations !
