I have a few question about night weaning

My bf 6 month dd has suddenly gone from feeding every 3 hours at night to sleeping through for 12 hours (wow do I feel like a different woman getting my sleep back).

My questions are- I wake up with one boob leaking & engorged- is this something that with settle down by itself with time (it has only been 5 days).
Should I expect my period to eventually start (I'm still bf during the day) Thanks xxx

Your boobs should get the message pretty soon that no milk is required overnight. Give it a couple more days. Don't express!

Periods... They might return but as you're still feeding during the day, they might not. My experience is that it's different for everyone... Some people have periods all the way through breastfeeding...

I'm having the same problem. Got a bloody blocked duct that I'm now trying to shift. Oh well at least the sleep is nice.
