2 week old EBF in pain after every feed

Hi, DD2 is EBF and seems to be in pain after every feed. She possets a bit generally and waves her arms and legs around, pants and cries. She roots for more milk and when having the milk this gives her relief, but then the whole cycle starts again.

I have tried to lay her down and cycle legs, winding, a bit of massage but it doesn't work.

She also has very watery poos, which don't always have the seedy bits in them. Generally yellow, with occasional green. She poos at least after every feed (which is frequent). She has always (in the two weeks!) pooed that frequently but they have got runnier and less seedy the last week or so.

Re the pain - could it be excessive wind, oversupply, over feedings, reflux?

Re the poo - does it sound like diarrhoea?

Meant to say she also suffers from a lot of hiccups.

I'd go to the doctor to check. They might suggest cutting out dairy from your diet for a few weeks to see if it makes any difference, or something like that but best to do it under guidance from a professional than from randoms on the Internet. It doesn't sound normal to me really.

Sorry, just realised that sounded a bit harsh, I didn't mean it to be as it sounds like you are having a tough time. Congrats on your new baby, hope things improve soon Thanks

Thanks! Will contact the HV and/or GPon Monday. I think a call to LLL might help too.
I was just reading about oversupply on LLL website and it sounds like this might be it. Sigh…why can't I get a straightforward baby for once Grin

Sounds like my DS, he has just been diagnosed with reflux at 13 weeks. We've tried everything else going, all the oversupply advice, massage, propping him up etc, but nothing worked. It's definitely worth seeing a GP. And good luck to you if you can get through to the LLL, I've tried to call them about 12 times without getting an answer.
