After feeds, either bfeeding or formula my 5 week old KF does not settle. This means she is awake almost all day, yesterday she did not sleep from 0700-1700! I have tried everything to get her to sleep - rocking in arms, in cot in car. It is not nappy, nor wind and she finishes feed as if full. Every evening I spend hours trying to get her to sleep. If she does sleep it is only for 1-2 hours at best and then she wakes crying. Help!!!

Is she happy if she is resting in your arms, joden? Is it that she resists/dislikes sleeping away from you?

Have you tried putting her to bed when she is awake and then just leaving the room? I always found that if I was there, they would not sleep or just cry. whereas if I just gave them a cuddle said night night, left and shut the door then 10 mins later they were asleep.

alternatively, babies seem to sleep very well in prams at this age if you go for a walk. added bonus is once they are asleep you can nip into a cafe for coffee.

trying, are you saying you would leave a five week old to cry for 10 minutes? It's a long time....

Agree with you about prams

you say, that if she does sleep it's only for 1-2 hours...that sounds pretty normal, tbh....some Baby's sleep more some less...but of course overtiredness can also be a problem and cause of a Baby not going to sleep!
Maybe carrying her in a sling would help?
Also, when you say she is unsettled...do you mean she is whinging and whining or jsut not settling to sleep?
