psoriasis advice for bfeeding mum

Hello all, so all throughout being pregnant I have not been able to use my psoriasis treatment (sebco) on advice from my gp. He gave me betnovate to use but the steroid level in it said "potent" do my midwife advised against it. Due to the stresses of a newborn and a horrid birth and illness afterwards, my psoriasis has gone bonkers.
Anyone have any advice as to what to use? I have coconut oil but I don't get time to use it with the baby being a very needy little one.
Any advice appreciated. Thanks in advance!

This happened to me. Can you ask for uv treatment?

I use dovibet and diprobase which were ok by my gp.

I also take vit d and flax seed oil supplements which do help. You have my sympathies. I hate psoriasis.

I was told Dovonex was fine when bf, but it burns my good skin, so I gave up after a couple of applications.

I ended up just using a manuka honey and bee propolis cream alternated with the coconut oil while I was bf (I'm in NZ, so lots of lovely creams based on manuka here).

I won't say it did wonders but it helped a tiny bit, and while my psoriasis is bad, it is confined to my scalp so I could hide it a bit.

Is there another steroid based cream that isn't as strong that your GP could give you instead of the dovobet? (I so remember being told it was ok in pregnancy/bf too, but also didn't feel like taking the risk - and my psoriasis disappears when I'm pregnant conveniently reappearing practically in the labour ward )

Prescription nizoral and calcipotriol were ok too I think. Gp gave them to me and effect was brilliant. It almost completely shifts my scalp psoriasis.
