Breast feeding tops?

SASASI · 10/09/2014 22:09

I am looking for breast feeding vest tops that DONT have an inbuilt bra support - do they exist & if so where?
I prefer my nursing bras so all I really want is vest tops that's just fasten like the bras.

How about breast vest? Google them. Might be the sort of thing you want.

There was a thread about this recently and there were some places that did them but I'm really sorry but I can't remember where. I use stretchy H&M ones and just pull them down. Hopefully someone will come along who can be more helpful.

I buy vests from next in a size up and just pull them down. Far cheaper than proper nursing tops.

Best ones i found are the h&m silky (£3.99) ones. Do in blk white and cream. They pull down without taking straps off shoulder....they are great.

H&m do proper nursing vests that are great.
If you are going to use vests that you pull down I'd just get the 1.50 primark ones as they just get ruined by boobs

Thanks ladies, I bought some H&M ones today.
Am I missing sthing or is the breast vest basically a more expensive boob tube?

A breast vest is a vest that just covers you from below the bra line so that you can wear a nursing bra (I find the inbuilt ones offer little support) with it. The whole point of it is that you wear another top over it nut can lift it up to feed without showing your post-partum stomach to the whole word!

I've got a stack of nursing tops from Gap that are quite good. All around the £20 mark but they have so many x% off sales that I've never paid full price.

Sleepyfergus · 13/09/2014 08:46

I used to use M&S vest tops - the kind with lacy straps that are about an inch wide. Found they stretched down under the boob in question. Come in a myriad of colours and nice and neat to wear under other tops.

I tried special bf tops from h&m, the ones with the slits for your boobs and found my boobs never lined up properly!

mothercare have plain vests that unclip at the strap for feeding.

IHeartLockhart · 13/09/2014 19:52

I've got some thin vests that I wear under my tops, they pull down easy enough and don't get me over heated. Can't wait for autumn and winter to hit, it's a nightmare trying to layer in the middle of summer!

Awakeagain · 13/09/2014 19:58

I had the mother care ones with the clips too
I use to wear them and quite often another top so belly wasn't out and top was covered, and it was winter so bit nippy for just a vest

H&M have a good selection of vests with clips. They are my wardrobe staple at the mo x
