Help! WHICH FORMULA

my little c went from being breastfed to bottle feb at 12 weeks (2 teeth!!) I was advised by my HV to use Cow & Gate Comfort which I did. C used to cry constantly and this seemed to change ( for a day!) She had constipation whilst being breastfed and was put on lactulose which the hospital said use until she regular again, but when I told my health visitor this she said use lactulose for at least 6 months. C is very sicky baby, brings back a lot of water and milk between feeds which are only every 2 hours. I tried on ordinary cow and gate first milk as suggested by the doctor, and this seemed to make her worse. She threw the whole lot back p and crid constantly. I have tried gaviscon (which I couldn;t add to omneo comfort as it made it to thick) have tried colief and the comfort milk.
Could it be the lactulose? she has it once in a morning and once at night. Should I stop this? also should I change formula? there are so many out there and I do not want to make her tummy more upset than it is.I have seen soya milk, SMA, Aptamil, Farleys all sorts of different ones.
her nappies went yellow when on cow and gate first milk, and back to green on comfort. She strains a lot when pooing to. Is this normal?
Sorry for so many questions, but the HV just makes me more confused. I do not know what to do.I just want her to be well fed, and not have an upset tummy.

I make up the feeds for the following day at night, using cooled down boiled water, adding formula, mixing then refrigerating. Is this right? or should i make up each feed as I go????

check the instructions on the omneo.im sure it has to be done with warm water to dissolve properly?? i know its different to how i used to make sma up.how long has your baby been on it? lactalose didnt help at all with my children but omneo is supposed to be really good with constipation etc so if she hasnt been on it long id persevere with it.i read somwhere that it takes a while for one milk to get out of the system and for another to work properly, especially if she's been breastfed, then one milk then another.could just take time to get settled.poos are supposed to be quite yucky and yucky colour and smell on omneo.lactalose used to mkae mine sick when they had it.i would stick to just the formula for a week or two and see if it makes a difference and offer cooled boiled water between feeds for more hydration but thats just me.if you're worried about the conflicting info id ask at a chemist as they sell both the milk and the lactalose and they'll know as well as a hv.good luck.colief is supposed to make lactose easier to digest but omneo already has that done in it so i wouldnt bother with both.someone else might know different but i cant see the point in giving both for the same thing.

SHe has been on comfort for 3 weeks. she was on cow and gate ordinary for 1 week. I am just at the stage where I do not know what to do. I don;t know wether to try a different milk such as SMA or not. The doctors and HV says different things, and I think its personal preference. The colief was in ordinary cow and gate.
Y r there so many different types of milk out there.
I have started today to make up boiled water, keep it warm and add milk to it each feed rather than making it up and refrigerating it.
