Breastfed baby refusing bottles

Hi, My 5 month old dd is refusing a bottle. I return to work in 5 wks but only for 2 nights a week and I really want to carry on b/feeding but also to give dd ebm in bottle. Have tried her on cups and she will'lap' some small amounts but with me being away overnight im concerned that she needs the comfort of sucking from a bottle and wont take the cup (she wont take the cup when distressed during the day). I cant bear the though of my dd crying for me for feeds and comfort while I am away. if anyone has any advice it would be very gratefully accepted! I know some techniques involve refusing to offer the breast but that will effect my supply as I still want to b/f? Please help!

I started offering ebm in bottle after i was hit by 24hr virus. i bf on demand through day then offered ebm bottle after her bath, just before dd went to bed. wasn't easy. i started introducing it to her, then dh took over after a few days. i left room when he was trying. if she took a few oz from bottle, dd rewarded with bf. took about 2 weeks until she was happy with ebm alone. dd now 7months and i am still bf on demand through day, with bottle of ebm after her bath. my supply didn't appear affected by doing this, seems to adjust to new situation
This is only my experience, i am 1st time mum.
well done for still bf at 5months you are doing great job!!

When I went back to work dd initially refused to drink from a bottle. She used that 'how could you possibly do this to me look'. dh said that after 2 days of not taking much she realised there wasn't much choice, and just got on with it! The same happened when I had to leave her for 24 hours unexpectedly and then the choice was formula or nothing. My supply wasn't affected either time as I expressed when away from her.

Thanks for your replies guys! Well, problem over - she just started taking bottles yesterday with no fuss whatsoever! Couldn't believe it after weeks of kicking, screaming and gagging! I did put formula in the bottle but today she took some ebm in a bottle so I am over the moon!!!
Thanks again.
