stopping dream feeding

Looking for some advice please Smile

DD is 7 months and has always been dream fed at 1030 - 11pm and gone through til 6-7

We have been going through a terrible sleep phase of waking 3-4 times a night depsite the dream feed so I tried stopping it then about 2 weeks ago she did 2 nights through til 5 straight.

Seems they were flukes tho as she has woken at 2250 on the dot the last 4 nightsShock

Now I'm not sure whether to keep trying or to start the dream feed again??

Anyone have and top tips on this please?

Thanks in advance

I've stopped giving my 6 month old a dream feed and he still wakes at a similar time (between 2-4) for a feed regardless!

I'm really trying to wind down night feeds and this seemed like an easy one to drop - I.e the one he doesn't "ask" for.

Thanks mrsmugoo

I've now not given it for 10 days but its not really working out!!

She wakes either at 11 or 3 for a feed if I don't give it and sometimes won't go back to sleep after 3am.feed so looks like I'll be starting it up again which I really didn't want to do....

I'm still dreamfeeding my 6 month old BF baby as she usually sleeps 6.30 - 6.30ish with it. At the moment, my plan is to carry on until weaning is better established and then gradually reduce the feed by only offering 1 side rather than 2, before stopping altogether (probably easier to do this if bottle feeding) and see where that takes us to. I'm hoping it won't mean a 3am wake up instead!

I dropped the dreamfeed much earlier with DD1 because her sleep went haywire even with it, but am reluctant to rock the boat while DD2 is sleeping well.

When I am still breastfeeding I dream feed my DD until 1 1/2 years old.
