ds had his posterior tt cut at 7 days old. There was an immediate improvement in latch. We are at day 11. My nipples were very badly cracked and bleeding. They are healing well with just a brief ouch moment on initial latching.
Ds continues to be windy and bringing up feeds, 3 times last night. Sometimes his latch is perfect and sometimes I can hear him gulp air and hear his tummy gurgling mid feed. I can't work out what is different between good feeds and bad windy feeds. Midwife is happy that he's gaining weight and is otherwise doing very well.

Is there anything I can do to help his latch improve?

Did anyone show you an exaggerated latch nearly?
This really helped DD and me. You can see videos on youtube but was explained as holding your boob either side of your nipple (like a sandwich) and then once your baby has an open mouth wiggling your nipple in. (So they take a bigger mouthful of breast tissue rather than nipple hang)

Glad your boobs are recovering. Smile
