FF -hospital don't provide the brand I want to use

Had hospital tour today, (due date yesterday... Late your whole other issue) and I was advised that they provide ready made formula bottles which are C&G, I am going to FF using Hipp (choice defo already made) and had been told previously by a MW that there would be a full choice of formulas in the hospital.

I can't track down any of the starter packs of premade bottles that I can take in with me, so was wondering if people had used the hosp provided formula and then switched after going home? I'm hoping to be in hosp for as minimal time as possible so (fingers crossed) there won't be many hospital feeds involved. Can't seem to find anything that says this may upset babies tummy as formulas are made to very strict, similar guidelines, so just after some experiences really :) thanks

I use C&G but I think DS had SMA in hospital, that only amounted to 1 feed though as I wasn't in for long afterwards.

Yes you can switch brands it won't matter. However you do know there is no nutritional difference between brands don't you.

I swap brands several times when dc were little for various reasons. They are all nutritionally the same - legally they have to be. Some do seem easier to digest than others - after trying a few ds only seemed settled on sma gold. So it may be that your baby decides what they will have rather than anyone else!

Ocado have ready made hipp organic starter packs in stock. Six ready made bottles for £8.50.

Hi all, thank you for the responses so far :) although I know formulas are nutritionally the same I've chosen Hipp as it's the only organic brand and have some ethical issues with some of the other brands. Like you said the baby will inevitably dictate what they will eat but I'm hoping this works out... Soon thank you for the ocado tip, I'll have a look, just concerned that they may not get here in time as already 2 days over due although there may be plenty of time before we actually make an appearance will take a look though Grin
