How to prevent choking when nursing ?

My DD is 100% breastfed and is a good feeder...she has put on 8ozs in the last week !!!

Last weighted at 9lbs 13ozs at a month old.

My question is that she seems to suck so hard and get so much milk that she often chokes when I feed her, especially when she starts on a new breast.

Is there anything I can do to prevent the choking as it really scares me and can't be pleasant for her either

Hiya

Sounds like you have a really fast let down. She'll probably get the hang of it, but you can hand express a teeny bit befor you start then you should get rid of the shoot in and hit the back of the neck stuff
Great weight gain -well done
