Cluster feeding

My DTS (boys) are 10 weeks old and were 4 weeks prem, from what I remember with DS1 cluster feeding was a growing phase, I breastfed him until 6 weeks and then went to formula.

I've managed to crack the breastfeeding with DTS which I'm happy about however pretty much since birth the boys cluster feed every night from 5-10. I'm sore, knackered and spending no time with DH at all as take myself upstairs to try and sooth them and lie down to feed to try and rest a bit.

Guess my question is is it normal to be every night? Their not sleeping longer despite massive feed pre sleep, up every 2 hours in night.

Is it because their prem/growing/just hungry all the time/comfort? Feel a bit at a loss and like I can't satisfy their hunger.

My DS cluster fed every night between 7-11pm for about 4 months - it was utterly exhausting and I often wondered if I wasn't producing enough milk or satisfying him however I read up a lot here and on kellymom and soon realised it was absolutely normal and to have faith in my own body.

Those 4 months seem like a lifetime ago now!

Good luck Brew

Not twins but my almost 10 week old cluster feeds on an evening and always has.

I'm pretty sure it's normal! I dont mind as it means he feeds less during the night.

Thanks both.

I think that's what baffles me is that they still seem to be up a lot at night, maybe that's just how it's going to be and I just need to go with the flow a bit more.

Have expressed today so DH can help out tonight, hopefully that should help a bit :)
