Have been breast feeding my baby for nearly 5 months, she still wakes every 2-3 hrs in night and wanted to try a bottle of formula ashaving to go back to work in few weeks. she has been quite colicky + we think wind wakes her up in night. Tried HIPP but seemed more windy, last night gave her SMA gold and was sick, loose nappy 2 hrs after feed. Wonder if anyone has suggestions of other formula milk or if should try soya milk?
Thanks.

farleys has been good for us, but as an aside, what bottles are you using?

My youngest was awful with wind, so we switched from avent bottles to Dr Browns anti-colic bottles and she has been a dream ever since.

I dont think its really a formula thing when it comes to wind, its more the way they feed.

SMA was awful for my first, so avoid that at all costs!!

Try aptimil.

Thanks, have just bought Dr Browns bottles and used it to feed her with the SMA last night, seemed better for her but obviously was sick on the milk. Did try Aptimal one time ready made but was sick that night , bringing up bile.

i woulod stick with dr browns, and try farleys or hipp again. It really is trying to find what is best, but i noticed a difference in 4 feeds with the dr browns.

Try also to avoid ready made cartons - they are quite heavy on the tummy i find xxx

We used Dr Browns with dd1 and for a while she needed SMA Lactose-free.

I know someone will mention this but also try using infacol with each deed. My dd was IMPOSSIBLE to burp without it. Now burps like a trouper! Is hardest when they fall asleep on the breast or bottle but is worth waking to burp properly as they then sleep better later. (well my experience anyway)
