Nippte piercing?

I'm 22 weeks pregnant so don't need to be worried yet, but I'm a worrier.

I'd had my nippte pierced for 10+ years with no problems. When I became pregnant I took it out. It still isn't causing any actual issues but sometimes if I squeeze the piercing holes white stuff comes out (kind of like a big spot I guess)

I really want to be able to breastfeed but am worried I may have caused issues.

Reassurance or advice greatly appreciated

No it will be fine. I had both mine done and this is fairly normal for the first few months. Just don't count on getting them back in after breastfeeding if you are planning to, not that you will probably want to.

Thanks for replying Lally. No, I have no expectations of getting it back in.

when does the white gunk stop?

And you never had any bf issues?

I was advised not to take mine out until baby was born so that it doesn't start to heal and risk scar tissue blocking the milk flow. I took it out when I went into labour, DD is 13 weeks and I haven't had any problems ebf.
I would suggest the white stuff coming out is colostrum, and this is a good thing as it shows no blockage. I would either put a ring back in so it is easy to keep clean and take it out again nearer the time or keep encouraging the milk flow to ensure no scared tissue can block the ducts.

Who advised you to keep it in?

Not sure I'd be able to get mine back in. It's been out about 4 months.

Gah. Worried
