It's a hard, sore lump in my breast :( it's a blocked duct isn't it?
I've only just realised so fed DD on that side, I've read to try feed lots on that side so now she's down for a nap I might try express a bit as well. Any other advice?

Ooh yes, try to stop it turning to mastitis. Hot bath or shower and massage that boob! Hot flannels, or fill a nappy with hot water and squeeze out excess before applying. Mainly though, feed feed feed. Hope it sorts itself out.

yes to lots of feeding and hot flannels etc. also try when feeding to position dd chin towards the sore bit. this may mean getting into some funny positions! how old is your dd? can you put her on her back on the floor and then position yourself over/next to her.

She's 4 months, will try all these suggestions thank you! Massaging is making it hurt more right now though :( and her chin pointing at the sore bit will be a funny position but we'll try! :)

I found massaging/expressing a wee bit in a hot bath or shower worked really well. Hope it clears ok.

It does hurt a bit when you massage unfortunately, but hopefully not for long. :)
