4 month old clamping down/biting at every feed!

As the title says 16 week old dd has taken to clamping down at every feed. It's worse towards the end of a feed. When she does it I end the feed and say no, she just grins at me the little monkey. Which isn't surprising as she still only little.

Any tips on dealing with it as it's making me sore now. She's my dc3 but I don't remember my boys biting so often so wasn't so much of a problem.

My 18 week old has been a sod with his feeding over the last week or so. He either won't latch on properly, or if he does he has about 10 sucks, releases his latch and just starts nipple feeding instead. He does it constantly as well as twisting his read and pulling on my nipples. I always take him off the breast and try again but it means that feeding takes such a long time and I'm not convinced he has a sufficient feed. I've had to start using Lanisoh cream again

If you do find out how to stop it, please let me know

My DD2 was like that and don't remember my first two doing that. She would laugh as well when she did it especially if I said ow. I found taking her off wasn't enough in the end I would take her off saying NO and lay her on the floor and she stopped. Whether that did it or she just stopped herself I don't know but it's worth a try.
She was about 4-5 months when she as was doing it.

My DS is doing this and has just got his first tooth do it's agony. He is fine when actually feeding, just towards the end or if he is tired, he is biting and it really hurts, his tooth is v sharp!! I came on to ask advice and saw this similar thread!

My 24 week old had two phases of doing this which lasted about a week each time. One phase coincided with his immunisations when he was feeling unwell.

Saying no firmly but not too loudly and laying him down for 20 seconds away from me worked in the end. Also watching him closely near the end of a feed I could tell when he was about to clamp down and move him off quickly. My sympathies.... So painful!
