Hi all just a bit of advice wanted please. My 10 week old baby is feeding every 2 hours night and day. He is on cow and gate and only takes about 90-100mls at most. 90mls doesn't seem like much for his age?? And the 2 hourly feeds are exhausting now. Any help/advice greatly appreciated :-)

Is it that he is falling asleep before he has more? Or is he just not hungry after that amount? Has he been checked for tongue tie?

If he is falling asleep, try changing his nappy to wake him before offering the bottle again.

Sorry what is that in oz? I'm not very good with ml!

Is he fussing at the bottle or does he feed happily, just not for long?

Could you try and offer him milk more often through the day in the hope that you might get longer stretches at night?

Yes he does fall asleep. I try waking him up but will try the nappy thing too thanks. Erm 90mls is 3oz. Just doesn't seem much for his age that's all? I'm sure my other little boy was guzzling 5oz at his age. He hasn't been checked for tongue tie I will get him weighed this week and mention it to H/V. He feeds quite happily sometimes fusses towards the end and when winding him, arches his back and cries etc. X

I would definitely try changing his nappy or even stripping him down to wake him before offering more milk then. Hope it works for you. :)

How much does he weigh? They should be getting around 150ml per kg per day (24 hours)- maybe he's making up the amount over the more frequent, smaller volume feeds?
