My 1yr old will olny take the avent beaker which u have to suck out of and the whole point of beakers is to break the sucking habit.

which beakers are free flowing and how did u introduce it to ur lo?

You could take the valve (the soft round bit) out of the avent beaker spout so it is a free-flowing spillable spout.

why not remove the silicone valve from your Avent beakers, then you have free flowing ones. You may want to put the valve back when you've had a few spills!

Can't see what's wrong with them, myself. My 2 yr old is now happily trying to drink out of a normal beaker with no spout. Babies like to suck- it's not a problem to me.

that's what I am doing with my ds2 7 months, Tissy. Lots of spills and he has to be wearing a bib, but it keeps him happy.
Is the whole point of beakers to really to break the sucking habit? Didn't know that
