dishwasher?

is it ok to wash bottles, teats etc in the dishwasher and then sterilise them?

I washed all mine by hand. You have to be very careful with anything else in your dishwasher that has tomato on it as it will discolour your bottles and teats. They will be clean but just a funny colour.

Actually it's ok to wash them in the dishwasher (after removing any milk debris) and air-dry them on kitchen paper - no need to sterilise as well.

what about salt in the d/w tablets - it it ok to normal tablets?

yep - there's not a significant amount of salt left on the bottle after dishwashing.

Apparantly you can't buy sterilisers in the states as they all just use dishwashers anyway.

I did, also following UCH neonatal stay with my baby. Just use the dishwasher, NICU specified on a normal cycle of 65 degrees or above.

Had no problems whatsover. Never needed to bother with special boxes to hold things in either. I did the teats in the cutlery draw, teat facing up.
