Cutting down feeds, weird side effects?

I've gone back to work (DD is nearly 7 months) and I'm still doing night feeds as well as expressing about 150ml during the day at lunchtime. DD is weaning but also taking about 150-300ml of formula a day mixed with bm (depending on the day and how cross she is about her new non-boob routine).

So my supply is dropping, obviously. Which is fine, expected etc etc. What I didn't expect were the side effects! Am I correct in thinking they relate to my hormones rebalancing as I slowly stop bf? I have raging PMS from time to time, I'm dizzy periodically, I keep having nesting urges. It's weird. I'm definitely not pregnant.

Please tell me this is normal!

Have your periods returned? I felt exactly the same at about 7.5mo and it was signalling return to the joy of menstruation!!!

Yes I've had one period. This isn't my pre-preg PMS though, this is much worse! Does it settle down??

I can't say - I had it around that time, had one v light period, then a 52 day gap and another period which was more normal.

But before that second period I felt truly awful (I posted on here asking about it) - nausea, dizziness, tiredness. I really wondered if I was pregnant! I'm hoping it settles down this time around.

Fingers crossed then!
