Too late for nipple shields?

My bf baby's 8m and has the front 4 teeth with the next two coming through at the top. He's bitten my nipple really painfully a few times, but this isn't my main concern at the moment, as I can usually predict when he will bite; but when he feeds he leaves really deep teeth marks with his top teeth. Does anyone have experience of introducing nipple shields this late in breast feeding or should I be working on improving our latch? Feeding's become so painful now Sad

Thanks! I did try changing his position to sitting up but he didn't seem impressed. Tomorrow we shall start channelling his inner baby giraffe Grin

Hiya, just to say we found there was discomfort for a few days or so every time there were new teeth. Then it went away. The while latch has to change a bit every time. Encourage a wide mouth and try and get lots of boob in... Unlatch until it's right as you would with a newborn. Not sure worth trying shields at this stage, can't imagine your lo will be impressed. Good luck Smile
