My baby is 15 weeks and I was just starting to think how easy feeding has become, after TT and a really slow weight gain in the first few weeks.

Tonight it hurt to feed on my right side and after looking at my nipple, I have 2 blisters on the side there is also a white patch on the top.

Feeding now and it's like razor blades :(

I think it's down to expressing. Have used a hot flannel tonigh before the feed and tried compressions.

Any other tips or experiences?

I've no personal experience with this but a friend of mine had something called a blood blister when BFing - possibly could be that? I would recommend seeing your doctor or at least giving your HV a call if it doesn't go away.

Don't feed on that side tonight. Express a bit by hand uf you need to.Seek help in the morning if it's not started to get better if you can find a doctor..... why do these things always happen at the weekend!

Everything I read said feed as much as possible on it.

She went down at 9.25 pm and she's still asleep...bliss! Least that's given me a bit of a rest

I had something similar, blocked ducts. Keep feeding and use lots of lansinoh.

Read Kellymom.com on how to treat blisters it could be a bleb which can cause the milk to back up behind it or a friction blister.

I think it's both, friction blister on the side then milk bleb on the top!

She's feeding now and it hurt at first but easing off a bit now x
