DD2 is now 4 months old. She's been exclusively tube fed since birth due to A serious heart condition and Downs, she had a very poor suck, an unsafe swallow and tired very easily.
She had her heart repair six weeks ago, and has gone from strength to strength and this week has finally taken to the breast!
I've been expressing 100% so supply is there and a couple of days ago we were just doing our normal 'snuggle and play and see what happens' and she got it!
she's been having a fairly decent go before each tube feed for a couple of days and the hcps are all lined up now to come and assess how she's getting on.
I am sooooooo proud of my wee girl. :-)
There have been many moments of despair, some seriously sore and blistered nipples and more than a few tears, but we are getting there!
