When do you start feeling the 'letdown'

I had a tough start with bf with DS.

DD is due any day and really want things to go better this time. I didn't start feeling any letdown for at least 3 weeks, although I was expressing some of this time as DS wouldn't latch on. Just wondered if this was normal?

My LO is 16 weeks and I've never felt a let down!

I only ever felt let down with my 3rd baby - was very strange as had never felt it with my first 2!

Last few weeks - dd is almost four months!

Never felt it with either of mine.

Never felt it.

Ok thanks so if I don't feel it that doesn't necessarily mean I'm doing it wrong Grin

Never felt it with either of mine - fed the first to 15 months and this one is 9 months.

I've never felt it either after 14 weeks!

I don't feel it but I can hear the milk start swooshing out as baby swallows.

eagle2010 · 06/07/2014 19:05

In the beginning I felt a sort of pressure as if milk was pushing out (which it wasn't!) but now (9mo later) I don't feel any letdown - just can hear DS drinking.

I do feel a sense of calmness when the milk was flowing - even if I am frazzled and exhausted! Pesky hormones :)

Be glad if you can't feel it - mine is bloody painful and was with my first too.
