8 month breastfeeding

I need some of your expertise please ladies! My daughter is nearly 8 months old and I'm still feeding her 5 times a day, and she's eating breakfast and lunch. How many times should I be feeding her now? People keep saying it'll naturally drop to less feeds but nothing has changed for months!

Between now and a year roughly how many times should I be breastfeeding her? Thank you!

My baby is just 8m and I probably feed him about 5 times a day and once at night. He also has a small bottle of formula 5 days a week. I'm afraid I don't know anything about what's normal and how much they're having by 1y, but it sounds like he's feeding at least as much as your daughter. To be honest though, he has quite a lot of finger food and he is only just beginning to get a significant amount of food in his diet.
I do feed quite often as a comfort to be honest, especially now he's more mobile. He's happy to get calories from food but nothing cures bumps better than boobs Grin

I'm feeding my 8 month old four times a day now. He has naturally dropped a morning feed in the past few weeks as he has a late breakfast (9ish) after a bf first thing, then a nap and lunch at 12ish. He has three meals a day now. I think I will try and offer him a snack and water in the afternoon instead of a bf if he does not drop this one by himself in preparation for going back to work.
